Dr. Dana Nguyen had a deep-rooted love for biology from a young age, but her true calling in healthcare emerged during her undergraduate years. Fueled by her involvement in vision screenings and shadowing experiences at the Stein Eye Institute, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Physiology at UCLA and her Doctor of Optometry degree at the UC Berkeley School of Optometry.
Dr. Nguyen has had the privilege of serving a diverse patient base, spanning various age groups and socioeconomic backgrounds. While her optometric training primarily emphasized ocular disease management with therapeutic pharmaceutical agents, she has also acquired invaluable expertise in contact lens fittings, myopia control, low vision, and vision therapy. Her patient-centric approach places a high priority on addressing individual concerns, ensuring every patient feels heard.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Nguyen finds joy in reading and indulging her sweet tooth with a regular cup of milk tea featuring boba. As an avid animal lover, she dreams of one day welcoming cats, dogs, rabbits, and guinea pigs into her home as beloved pets.
